  • Sin City 2 (2006)
    Sin City 2 is the sequel to the 2005 movie Sin City, which was based on Frank Miller's graphic novels. Its projected release date is December, 2006. It was revealed by director Robert Rodríguez that the story this film would be based around would be A Dame to Kill For as well as new stories to be written by Frank Miller.
  • Inside Man (2006)
    Inside Man is a 2006 crime-drama film starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster, and directed by Spike Lee. The film's screenplay is based on a story by Scott Corwon, written by Russell Gewirtz and produced by Brian Grazer. It was released in North America and several European markets on March 23rd and 24th.
  • Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2006)
    Golden Age is the movie sequel to the film Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett. Written by Michael Hirst and produced by Working Title Films, Golden Age is directed by Shekhar Kapur. It is planned for release in 2006.
  • The Children of Men (2006)
    Children of Men is the film adaptation of P.D. James' dystopian novel of the same name. It is directed by Alfonso Cuaron and stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore and Michael Caine. As with all film adaptations, expect liberties to be taken with the story.

    The Pink Panther is a 2006 comedy film. The film is a prequel of the earler Pink Panther films. In this film, the detective (Steve Martin) has to solve the murder of a famous soccer coach and find out who stole the famous Pink Panther diamond.

    This film also stars Kevin Kline, Beyoncé Knowles, and Jean Reno.
  • Derailed (2005)
    Derailed is a 2005 American thriller/drama film based on a James Siegel novel by the same name adapted by Stuart Beattie. The film is directed by Mikael Håfström and stars Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston.
  • Sin City (2005)
    Sin City is a 2005 neo-noir portmanteau film based on the graphic novels of the same name, directed by Robert Rodriguez.

    Rodriguez also gave Sin City creator Frank Miller a directing credit on the film, crediting his visual style and its influence on the resulting film. However, the Director's Guild of America refused to recognize Rodriguez and Miller as being a bona-fide team. To avoid compromise, Rodriguez resigned from the Guild, and the joint credit remained.

    Quentin Tarantino is credited as "Special Guest Director" for his role in helping to direct one scene in the movie.
  • Closer (2004)
    Closer is a 2004 film directed by Mike Nichols and written by Patrick Marber, who wrote the play of the same name upon which the film is based. It stars Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman, and Jude Law in a story involving infidelity, intimacy and sacrifice. The film features many extracts from the Mozart's opera Così fan tutte as incidental music. Also, the music of Irish folk singer Damien Rice is featured in the film, most notably the song, "The Blower's Daughter", whose lyrics drew many parallels with the themes present in the film.
  • King Arthur (2004)
    King Arthur is a film first released in the United States on June 28, 2004, dubbed as "The Untold True Story That Inspired The Legend" by Touchstone Pictures.

    The makers of the film claim to present a historically accurate version of the Arthurian legends, supposedly inspired by new archaeological findings. The accuracy of these claims is subject to debate, but the film is unusual in representing Arthur as a Roman soldier rather than a medieval knight.
  • Beyond Borders (2003)
    Beyond Borders was a 2003 movie about aid workers, starring Angelina Jolie and Clive Owen. Although well-intentioned, and reflecting Jolie's real-life interest in promoting humanitarian relief, the film was critically and financially unsuccessful. Concurrently with the release of the film, Jolie published Notes from My Travels, a collection of journal entries from her real-life experiences as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations — a similar job as that done by the character she plays in the movie.
  • I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (2003)
    I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, released by Paramount Classics in 2003, is a British crime film from the director of Get Carter (the 1971 Michael Caine film) and Croupier, Mike Hodges.
  • The Bourne Identity (2002)
    The Bourne Identity is a 2002 movie based on the book of the same name by Robert Ludlum. The film is loosely based on the novel and adapted by Tony Gilroy. In 2004, The Bourne Identity was followed with a sequel titled The Bourne Supremacy.
  • The Hire (2001)
    The BMW film series The Hire began as a series of five short films (each about eight minutes long) produced for the Internet in summer 2001. The films were directed by popular and aspiring directors. All starred Clive Owen as "The Driver". Of course, each film's story highlighted the performance aspects of various BMW automobiles. The first five films, as well as the Ben Younger-directed interludes, were executive-produced by David Fincher.
  • Gosford Park (2001)
    Gosford Park is a 2001 film, directed by Robert Altman. The screenplay was written by Julian Fellowes, based on an idea by Altman and Bob Balaban.
  • Croupier (1997)
    Croupier is a 1998 film starring Clive Owen as a croupier. The film was directed by Mike Hodges.The film was released by Image Entertainment on DVD in the USA, and Alliance Atlantis in Canada. Though intended as a feature film, it was shown on television in North America. It had a strong critical following in North America, and helped to launch Clive Owen's acting career.
  • Bent (1997)
    Bent is a 1979 play (which starred Richard Gere in its original production) by Martin Sherman that was adapted into a 1997 movie by director Sean Mathias. It revolves around the persecution of gay people in Third Reich Germany after the murder of Sturmabteilung leader Ernst Röhm.
  • Chancer (1990) (TV series)
    Chancer was a British television serial produced by Central Television. It told the story of a likeable conman and rogue (played by Clive Owen) at the end of the yuppie eighties. There were a total of twenty episodes, split into two series which aired in 1990 and 1991.
